About Dave
Dave is the founder of the UK GDP Association C.I.C, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. With many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Dave has seen first-hand the kinds of compliance issues that can cause real headaches for companies, from supply chain gaps to nasty audit surprises.
Rather than focusing only on the problems, Dave has built his career and the UK GDP Association on finding GDP solutions that are straightforward, sustainable, cost-effective and make sense for the people carrying out and overseeing GDP tasks on a day-to-day basis.
The MHRA have been supporters of the UK GDP Association since its inception and in his role as Chairman of the UK GDP Association, Dave is amongst a group of consultants who have been invited by the MHRA to discuss new initiatives, is part of their Compliance Monitor Program and assisted with the user experience of the MHRA PCL Portal.
As a Cogent assured educator, Dave also delivers training webinars and in-house sessions for UK GDP Association clients as part of his role at Paradigm Shift Consulting. The winner of the Pharma Awards UK Pharma Education and Training award category in 2025. Dave also speaks at conferences and seminars on behalf of other organisation within the pharmaceutical industry. He most commonly focuses his speaking sessions on the risks of falsified medicines entering the supply chain and how to prevent such occurrences within your organisation, MHRA inspection preparation, reports and findings and what to do in the event of a difficult inspection or referrals to other agencies within the MHRA, such as the Inspection Action Group.
Dave is committed to giving back. He regularly offers free support to UK GDP Association members who are struggling and may not have the resources for full consultancy services, ensuring they still have the guidance they need to operate safely and responsibly with the protection of public health as a priority. He’s also an active supporter of local charities and community initiatives, believing strongly in the power of generosity and the importance of “paying it forward.”
For Dave, running UK GDP Association isn’t just about making money, hence the C.I.C status of the association, it’s about protecting patient safety and making a lasting positive difference in the pharmaceutical industry and the community.
His blend of deep expertise, approachable leadership, and genuine care for others continues to set him apart as someone who not only knows the rules but also lives by a greater principle: that success is best shared.
