About James
Prior to joining Advena in August 2021 as QMS Consultant, I worked for a number of medical device manufacturers during my 20+ year career. These ranged from manufacturers of Class III implantable orthopaedic devices such as hip implants, and class IIa devices such as autologous blood transfusion devices, through to self-certified Class I orthotic devices and artificial limbs.
During my career, I also completed 4 years working for a Notified Body, where I progressed from Lead Auditor under MDD and ISO 13485, to Global NB Operations Manager.
In January 2023, my role here at Advena changed to Compliance Manager, where I was responsible for the management of Advena’s own QMS, During this time I was fortunate to be able to develop the QMS and ensure our continued ISO 13485 certification with BSI – something we all pride ourselves on and take very seriously.
In November 2024, my role developed further, and I was appointed as Operations and Compliance Director and now I have moved into a more business development role until my new title as Commercial Director to support the growth in the business.
